Solar Portfolios is a boutique specialized in financial, commercial and strategic advice in the solar sector. The business model of Solar Portfolios is based on 1 on 1 transactional advisory as well on the use of marketplace and fintech technologies. We believe that the market for debt and equity transactions in the renewables space will continue the digitalization strategy that so many other industries have already implemented. In 2017 we started a partnership with GreenMatch because we want to lead in this trend.

Solar Portfolios is in essence an advisor to solar developers, EPC companies and investors in solar energy M&A and (re)financing transactions. Our motto is: Tactical origination and effective execution

  • José Gaspar has a long experience in raising debt and equity capital for solar projects internationally. In the last 10 years, he has raised more than US$500M across more than 40 solar transactions in equity (investment fund sales) and project finance. Prior to founding Solar Portfolios, he worked for BBVA Bank, Solarig Europe (Solar IPP) and Voltiq (Renewables advisory).
